I likewise congratulate Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris for her history-making achievement as the first Black woman and person of Indian descent elected as Vice President. As PayPal continues our mission of democratizing financial services, I look forward to engaging with your administration on creating and expanding opportunity for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, in the increasingly digital economy.
I would like to thank the poll workers and election officials who worked tirelessly to maintain a free and fair election. Their work is truly the backbone of our democracy.
I’m heartened by our employees who have participated in the democratic process and helped to champion the Time to Vote initiative. That work, driven by our values, made a difference and I look forward to us continuing that charge in other markets. The critical importance of voting isn’t a red issue or blue issue, but an American one. We should all be proud of the historic turnout in this election and strive to continue getting our family, friends, and neighbors excited about voting in every election, from local and state to presidential, going forward.
