PayPal’s 2020 Annual Report: A Message to the PayPal Community

April 13, 2021 | Dan Schulman, President and CEO

2020 was a uniquely challenging and transformative year for all of us. As I outlined today in our annual report, our top priorities have been the health and well-being of our employees and doing our part to help our customers and communities navigate the pandemic’s economic impacts.

We have remained steadfast in our commitment to provide equitable relief and resources for those who need it most. We supported our employees in the transition to remote working, and continue to facilitate Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to small businesses in need, enable consumers to quickly receive stimulus payments through their Venmo and PayPal accounts, and help to close the racial wealth gap through our $535 million commitment to Black and underrepresented businesses and communities.

PayPal’s impact will continue to grow as we work to build an inclusive recovery, with our purpose as a company guiding how we serve all of our stakeholders. By continuing to deliver both profit and purpose to meet the evolving needs of our customers, I am confident we will build long-term value for our stockholders.

I invite you to read my letter here.
