The new PayPal app includes a bevy of helpful new features, but one of them could help you save some money as you shop around for friends and loved ones. Upon opening the app, simply tap the “Deals” icon on the bottom navigation bar. From there, you can easily browse discounts and shop for deals from many different stores, all without leaving the PayPal app.
Additionally, the Honey browser extension allows you to quickly search for available coupons that can be applied at checkout for thousands of popular shopping sites. With Honey, eligible users in the U.S. are now able to redeem their Gold points accrued from shopping for cash through PayPal.
Share moments with friends
The holidays are a perfect time to reconnect with old friends and make new memories over dinners, reunions, or perhaps even a trip to an ice skating rink. Want to take the hassle out of figuring out how to split and pay for these experiences? You can use the Venmo app to pay back whoever picked up the check. Venmo allows you to send a single request to multiple friends on Venmo. Simply swap Venmo handles or scan each other’s unique QR codes in the Venmo app. Money in your account can then be used to pay online or in-store, or you can transfer it back into your linked bank account in 1 to 3 business days, at no fee.
Shop and get a chance to win big

Pay later with PayPal
Have a lot of presents to pick up? With PayPal Pay in 4, you can split purchases of $30 to $1,500 into four interest-free payments, with no impact on your credit score. This gives you a flexible way to shop for those on your “Nice” list.
To Pay in 4 at participating stores, simply checkout with PayPal, tap Pay Later and then select Pay in 4 as your payment option. Get a decision on your application in seconds and make your first payment. Make the remaining three payments, one every two weeks, in the app or online.
Give back whenever you checkout
The holidays are the time when many of us look to give back to support causes that are near to our hearts. Whatever those might be, PayPal’s Give at Checkout feature allows you to give micro-donations of as little as $1 whenever you pay using PayPal. To do so, use the PayPal app and tap the “Pay” icon in the bottom navigation bar. From there, select “Giving” from the top bar, and browse all of the charities enrolled in PayPal Giving Fund. Once you have found a charity you’d like to support, “Favorite” them, and whenever you use PayPal to pay, you’ll see an option to donate to your selected charity.
Stay safe from scammers
With so much going on during the holidays, it’s easy to get distracted and fall prey to online scammers. When you shop with PayPal, eligible purchases can be protected by Purchase Protection, giving you peace of mind. PayPal wallet securely stores your credit and debit card information, as well as bank account information. That way, you’re able to shop and pay without having to share your sensitive financial information.

Simply head to a cashier and open the PayPal app, click the QR Code icon, select the “Show to Pay” option, and have the cashier scan the QR code.
