PayPal Responds To Australian Draft Legislation On Reforms To The Payment Systems Regulation Act
This week, PayPal submitted a response to the Australian Treasury Department consultation to gather stakeholder feedback on draft legislation to reform the Payment Systems (Regulation) Act 1998.
In PayPal's response, we note our support for the Australian Government's commitment to modernize the regulatory framework that underpins Australia's payment system, and observe other global approaches to payment system regulation, especially in the UK, Canada and European Union.
