As our relationship with FIS™, a global leader in financial services technology, continues to evolve, so does our ability to provide even more consumers and merchants with better ways to transact beyond just the retail store. FIS, utilizing Paydiant technology, recently announceda new partnership with Payment Alliance International (PAI)to bring Cardless Cash to its 70,000 ATM locations at many of the nation’s largest retailers, gas stations, convenience stores and more. With this new venture, Paydiant and FIS Cardless Cash™ ATM technology will be made available at more than 72,000 ATM locations across the U.S., allowing consumers to get cash from ATMs using their mobile devices.

 

As we discussedin February, our collaboration with FIS is due in large part to our shared vision of ensuring consumers and businesses can quickly, simply and securely transact no matter where they are. Over the past year, we have realized the potential of providing cardless cash access, and strong relationships with banks, debit networks and financial service providers, having already processed millions of dollars in withdrawals and hundreds of thousands of transactions across the U.S.

 

We’re thrilled to now be delivering this patented Cardless Cash approach to PAI’s existing network of 70,000 ATMs — without upgrading the ATM machine hardware. Eligible mobile banking users of participating banks will now be able to securely access their cash at these ATMs both on iOS and Android mobile devices at any time.

 

This agreement also makes NYCE the first national payment network to support mobile phone-to-ATM transactions. Cardless Cash is currently used by more than 30 banks in the U.S., including BMO Harris, Wintrust, WSFS, Salem Five, Avidia Bank and PAI, and is expanding to a shared network of ATMs that all banks can access, with FIS enabling the more than 80,000 ATMs it operates and expanding to more ATMs connected through its NYCE network. This new collaboration between FIS and PAI is another way in which the Paydiant team is working to contribute to PayPal’s vision of providing consumers and businesses with easy and secure ways to transact in-store, in-app, or online anytime they want.
