Celebrating Mini PayPalers at Take Your Kid to Work Day
Today is Take Your Kid to Work Day at
PayPal and we had scores of babies, toddlers and pre-teens exploring the PayPal campus with their parents.
The day was packed with activities for kids of all ages, from learning about PayPal and what their parents do at work everyday, to participating in everything from a creative LEGO engineering workshop to an Hour of Code program, where kids learned the fundamentals of coding. (Talk about getting a head start!)
Some of the kids even got to take a tour of PayPal’s Innovation Lab, where they learned about coding, got to play video games, and even got to meet our mini robots! And before lunch, a team from Stanford Children’s Health / Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital were on campus teaching kids about the importance of sleep, healthy eating and exercise. We also hosted a toy drive to benefit patients at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. All donations will be used as prizes at the annual Hospital School Prom – an annual event held for kids that have attended grades K-12 in the Hospital School.
But we’re not all about work. We also like to have a little fun! So after a full day of activities, the kids got to participate in a silent disco outside in the sunshine (some of the kids had moves!), jump around in the bouncy house, participate in carnival games and even get their faces painted. Of course, we couldn’t resist having a photobooth for glamour shots. Enjoy!
