It’s the season of giving and we’re excited to share that PayPal and Lyft have teamed up this week to support Meals on Wheels America and its local members.

 

On Wednesday and Thursday, when you ride with Lyft, you’ll have the opportunity to make someone’s holiday brighter by helping Meals on Wheels provide nutritious meals, companionship and cheer to homebound seniors this holiday season, right from the Lyft app. After reaching your destination, just tip your driver $5 or more and PayPal will donate $5 to Meals on Wheels America and its local chapters. Pay for your ride and tip with PayPal and PayPal will double the donation (up to a maximum total donation of $100,000)!

 

PayPal and Lyft are also spreading spontaneous cheer through Lyft Gifts. Select Lyft cars in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., will be packed to the brim with gifts for lucky passengers. If you are matched with one of these special cars when you request a ride, you’ll have your pick from a grab bag full of awesome presents, including exclusive experiences and Lyft gift cards provided by PayPal. ‘Tis the season to give AND receive!

 

And don’t forget that throughout December you can donate to any of over 400,000 charities that are part of the PayPal Giving Fund, like Meals on Wheels America, and PayPal will add a 1% match to your contribution (see Terms). Head to www.paypal.com/givecheer to find a charity that matters to you.
