Money between friends is awkward – whether you’re owed it or you’re the one in debt. A recent PayPal survey of 4,000 people in four countries even found that one-third of them had lost a friendship over the issue. 

 

We took that finding to the streets of San Francisco to hear from people about how debts can put a damper on the conversation – and even friendship. We also wanted to hear what they thought about PayPal.Me, a new PayPal offering that allows users to send a friendly reminder – without the awkwardness - to their buddies about an outstanding bill.
