PayPal has long been a champion for entrepreneurs helping them to start and grow their businesses. This year, we’ve teamed up with some of our partners to award three businesses that we believe have major potential with $10,000 and a makeover of their choice. The prizes.
Entrants will have the opportunity to win* one of three prizes, each of which includes:
- $10,000 cash from PayPal (transferred to winner’s PayPal balance).
- One-on-one payment consultation with PayPal, including discussion of how offering PayPal Credit**, improving your payment infrastructure, and expanding to international sales can help your business.
- Priceless publicity including being featured in a PayPal blog post and a video of the makeover experience shown on the PayPal website and social media channels.
- The choice of a website makeover by Shopify or a back-office upgrade from Xero, including CRM and accounting software and support.
Selecting the finalists.
Three finalists from each of the following categories will be chosen:
- Offline businesses looking to sell online.
- New businesses looking to grow.
- Established businesses looking to update.
Selecting the winners.
A team of judges will select one winner from among the finalists in each business category. The finalist judges include Dan Leberman, VP and General Manager of PayPal North America SMB, and JJ Ramberg, host of MSNBC’s Your Business.

Finalists and winners will be scored on:
- Business need (40 points)
- Growth potential (20 points)
- Originality and creativity (20 points)
- Clarity of expression (20 points)
