Wait – PayPal will refund my return shipping costs for gifts that don’t work out?
Yes! For eligible purchases made online via PayPal, you can be reimbursed for up to four refunds on return shipping costs worldwide from October 12, 2015 to January 31, 2016*. With the start of the holiday shopping season beginning on September 30th for the last four years, according to PayPal data, this offer can make your holiday shopping easier and help alleviate the burden of paying high return shipping fees.

PayPal champions shoppers and sellers. We know that pricey return shipping fees discourage more than half of online shoppers from making repeat purchases and 48 percent of American shoppers say free return shipping is a must before they’ll buy**.
Starting today, PayPal’s Return Shipping on Us is now available to PayPal users in the United States and in nearly 40 other countries. That means PayPal merchants can attract shoppers from around the globe who may have been previously concerned about the return shipping costs for returns or exchanges. Those shoppers can now become a lucrative addition to your customer base beyond the holiday rush!
So how do I sign up?
Starting today, shoppers can activate the Return Shipping on Us service at
www.paypal.com/returns. So, if you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can submit an online request to get a refund on your return shipping costs within 14 days of returning the item - just keep your proof of return*. You’ll be reimbursed for return shipping costs on up to four eligible purchases from now through January 31st, 2016.
If you are one of the 10 million merchants worldwide that accept PayPal, you don’t have to sign up for the service and your return process will not be affected. Your customers just need to opt in for the service on their PayPal account and pay for their order with you via PayPal to become eligible for this service.
