Hurricane Michael hit the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday as a Category 4 storm with peak winds of 155 mph, dangerous rains, and extreme storm surge. The most powerful hurricane to hit the U.S. mainland in over 25 years, it has left a path of destruction through many parts of Florida. The storm is also likely to bring heavy rains to parts of North and South Carolina, where people, businesses, and communities are still recovering from the impact of Hurricane Florence.  

 

Although the true impact of this devastating storm will only be fully understood in the weeks to come, we know that the road to recovery will be long and costly for the more than 20 million people affected. 

 

We invite you, members of the PayPal community, to donate whatever you’re able to relief efforts for Hurricane Michael. PayPal is committed to helping the relief efforts, and together with PayPal Giving Fund we have set up a disaster relief campaign where PayPal covers all processing costs, ensuring that 100% of all donations support a responding charity in relief and recovery efforts.
