PayPal & Facebook Partner to Match Donations on Giving Tuesday
At PayPal, we’re committed to harnessing the power of our technology, partnerships and scale to make giving part of everyday life, and enable unprecedented levels of support for charitable organizations around the world. That’s especially true during the holidays, as our customers turn to  our platform to connect with, and give to the causes they care most about.

This year, I’m thrilled to share that PayPal is partnering with Facebook to match 100% of donations made on Giving Tuesday, up to a total of $7 million, to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits. This marks the largest match program in the history of Giving Tuesday, a movement PayPal has championed since its inception in 2012.  The donation match will be one of the many ways we celebrate Giving Tuesday and the spirit of giving throughout the holiday season.

We believe everyone should be able to participate and thrive in the global economy – from seamless commerce transactions to giving to a favorite cause. Partnering with companies like Facebook directly supports our vision for helping people support their favorite causes, wherever and whenever they are inspired to make a difference.

We hope you’ll join us on Facebook November 27th to double the funds you donate for the causes closest to your heart. Together, we can make this year’s Giving Tuesday the biggest yet, and more importantly make a positive impact on organizations that make such a difference in our world.

More information on the match can be found here, and you can learn more about the partnership in the Facebook newsroom here.

Additional Details: Donations up to $250k per nonprofit and $20k per donor are eligible to be matched.Facebook and PayPal will match donations starting at 5am PST on November 27 and continue matching donations to nonprofits until the $7M match runs out.
