Peggy Alford Returns to PayPal Executive Team
I am excited to announce that Peggy Alford is returning to PayPal today as senior vice president of core markets. In this role, Peggy will lead our commercial teams in PayPal’s largest and most established markets, including North America, UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Australia, as well as our global sales operations and merchant support teams. Peggy will report directly to me and serve as a member of PayPal’s senior leadership team.

Peggy has been chief financial officer and head of operations at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) since leaving PayPal in mid 2017. In this role, she helped the philanthropic initiative build infrastructure for scale, create programs to measure results and determine how to most effectively invest capital. At PayPal, she held numerous senior leadership roles, including senior vice president of people operations; chief operating officer for the Asia Pacific region and global cross border trade; and vice president and chief financial officer for the Americas region. Prior to joining PayPal in 2011, Peggy worked at Rent.com, a national internet real estate listing service and former subsidiary of eBay Inc., where she served as president and general manager as well as chief financial officer.

She is a dedicated and proven leader, whose collaborative nature will be an asset to our team. She is uniquely positioned to hit the ground running and brings a breadth of expertise from both CZI and the many hats she’s previously worn within PayPal.

Peggy’s return to PayPal is a testament to the culture we’ve built and the power of our mission, which continues to attract some of the most talented and passionate people. We are proud to welcome Peggy back to PayPal and know she will help take the company to even greater heights.

Mark Britto, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Credit, PayPal
