PayPal with Fingerprint Authentication and PayPal App Now Available Globally on Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit

WHAT: PayPal is announcing the availability of the PayPal app with fingerprint authentication on the new Samsung Galaxy S5 device. When shopping with PayPal on their Samsung Galaxy S5, users can login with their fingerprint to shop at millions of merchants that accept PayPal on mobile web sites, mobile apps and in stores. Additionally, Samsung Galaxy S5 users who use the PayPal app will receive $50 USD or more in offers at several merchants that accept PayPal. The PayPal app is also available today on the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit. Using the PayPal app, Samsung Gear 2 owners can check-in to pay at local stores, save and redeem offers, check their balance and receive payment notifications while on the go.

WHERE: The ability to login with a fingerprint to shop with PayPal is now available on the Samsung Galaxy S5 across 25 markets globally, including: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.

For the Samsung Gear 2 watch, the PayPal app will be available in eight global markets, including: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, United States and United Kingdom.
