Today, we’re excited to announce that Venmo is teaming up with singer Mariah Carey to introduce a limited-edition, custom holiday gift wrap in the Venmo app so gifts and payments to friends and family through Venmo will have a little extra sparkle.

For the 2022 holiday season, more than half (55%) of people in the U.S. are feeling the holiday spirit, which is a 21% increase compared to 2021.¹ Surrounding this excitement for the holidays, we know that Venmo customers are looking to check off everyone on their gift lists this year, and data shows that receiving cash is the number one preferred gift for many during the holidays, especially in light of record-breaking inflation.²

Mariah Carey’s iconic collection of holiday hits and enthusiasm for this season has had a way of getting people in the spirit for years. By introducing the limited-edition Venmo gift wrap, she’s bringing her love for the holidays and seasonal expertise to gifting through Venmo’s gift-wrapping feature.

The custom Mariah Carey gift wrap is available to all Venmo customers starting today through the end of 2022.
 

How to Add a Gift Wrap

Send a gift-wrapped payment in just a few steps, at no additional cost:

• Tap the "Pay or Request" button on the home screen
• Add the recipient, payment note and payment amount
• Tap the gift wrap icon
• Choose the gift-wrap you’d like to send along with your payment

From there, your recipient will receive a notification that they've received a gift in the app, where they'll be able to unwrap and view the gift.

Customers can purchase gifts using Venmo at a variety of merchants, from local small businesses to large retailers. We provide a simple, secure way to send money as a last minute gift, whether you are checking out in-app, online, or in-store with the Venmo Credit Card or Venmo Debit Card..
