PayPal’s Government Relations team had an exciting and impactful week at the Singapore Fintech Festival & Insights Forum this November! We connected with policymakers, regulators, thought leaders, and industry peers from across the globe to discuss and tackle key issues shaping the future of commerce. From boosting SMB participation in the digital economy to exploring cutting-edge tech solutions to combat online fraud, our discussions were both inspiring and forward-thinking.

- PayPal X Emerging Payments Association Asia Roundtable
A timely conversation on how industry must play a role to drive the development and operationalization of digital trade agreements that support SMB participation in global commerce. Key takeaway: International cooperation and collaboration between industry and policymakers is essential to secure new digital trade rules that will unlock the benefits of cross-border digital trade for SMBs and reverse the trend of regulatory fragmentation.
- Regulatory Sandboxes & Cross-Border Payments
Participating in discussions exploring the role of regulatory sandboxes in cross-border payments. Key takeaway: consistency in language and terminology really matters for “regulatory interoperability”.
