Our 2024 Global Impact Report showcases how we're advancing our mission through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and digital financial solutions that drive meaningful change for employees, communities, and customers globally. Here are some highlights of our efforts to support our people, strengthen communities, and invest in a sustainable future:
 

Empowering Our People

Our employees are the driving force behind everything we do. We continue to focus on attracting top talent and fostering a culture of belonging by providing opportunities for continuous learning, leadership development, and career growth. In 2024, our teams logged over 800,000 total learning hours, equivalent to more than 33 hours of learning per employee on average.
 

Supporting Small Businesses and Strengthening Communities

Small businesses are the heartbeat of the global economy, and we’re committed to providing products and services that support entrepreneurs and small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) through every stage – from launch to growth and beyond.

Through our platform and partnerships, in 2024 we enabled approximately $3 billion in access to capital for SMBs, helping entrepreneurs around the world start, scale, and sustain their businesses. We also helped raise $21.8 billion for nonprofits and causes, fueling critical work in areas such as disaster relief to aid affected small businesses in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton in the Southeastern U.S.
 

Operating with Integrity

Responsible business practices provide the foundation of the customer trust and brand reputation we’ve built over many years. We hold ourselves and our partners to high standards for business ethics, cybersecurity, data privacy, and responsible AI use, all in support of effective risk management and to create lasting value. Our employees are central to upholding these standards, and in 2024, 100% of our employees completed our annual ethics and compliance training. 
 

Driving Responsible Environmental Stewardship

We believe that managing climate-related risks through a comprehensive, enterprise-wide approach strengthens our operational stability and allows us to better serve our customers over the long term. In 2024, we reduced operational emissions by 79% compared to our 2019 baseline of 53.2 MT CO2e (in thousands) and matched 100% of data center energy use with clean energy generation sources for the fourth consecutive year.

We also continued to engage with our suppliers on climate risk management, and we partnered with organizations to support sustainable innovation.
